Hi! My name is Katrina Scott :) I am originally from Southern California, and over the past 7+ years I have fallen in love with Texas. I live here with my husband and our 4 sweet kids. I love singing, dancing, and playing sports, especially basketball. I have a passion for music, good food, traveling the world, theatre, speaking Spanish, and teaching. I enjoy chocolate, long-boarding, exercising, outdoor adventures like rock-climbing, and above all, spending time with my family. I absolutely love working with children, and my ultimate goal in directing is to foster confidence, creativity, and self-expression in my students as they let their light shine bright! #shinebrightstudiosTX
Credentials and Experience:
Katrina Scott has a degree in Theatre Arts Education, as well as over 12 years of experience as a theatre teacher, musical theatre director, and vocal coach for children of all ages. She directed and produced full-length Broadway musicals such as Aida, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Bye Bye Birdie, and Aladdin, with casts ranging from 40-80 children ages 11-15. During that time she worked with lead vocalists that have since gone on to perform on Broadway, make the final round of American Idol, and develop professional music and performance careers.
